Country with the most beautiful sunsets
What a privilege it was to serve DEGNOS this past week - a missionary organization who empowers the SAN/Bushman people on the ground to become disciple makers amongst their own people in the north eastern part of Namibia. Four main Bushman congregations (each serving a different / language group) are served by DEGNOS, who again serves more than 140 smaller settlements.
We sat together around “The Kingdom of God - God’s story from Genesis to Revelation” (Biblical theology). They do not have kings or chiefs in their culture and in their history they were/are nomads - so the concepts of “God’s Kingdom - God’s people, in God’s place, under God’s rule and blessing” were not always that easy to explain, but the Holy Spirit worked, and is working among them.
It was also good to have leaders from Ligpunt in Pretoria (Pretoria) and from DRC Windhoek-West (Namibia) with us. God’s kingdom does not look at congregations or denominations, but at people who acknowledge Him as King and Ruler in their lives. That is what binds us together in Christ through the working of His Spirit. This is one of the things that excites me … seeing the Body of Christ at work and serving together.
Pray with us:
- for DEGNOS and the SAN congregations - they are doing amazing work in God’s kingdom
- for our other partners in Namibia - Kunene for Christ and REACH Namibia - for the gospel work they are doing amongst different tribes and people groups in Namibia
- for the Hausa, Yoruba and French translations in West Africa - focus and wisdom is needed
- for wisdom in helping local congregations in Southern and West Africa implement TWT’s material
- to end 2025 well - energy and focus for these last few weeks and a last visit to Nigeria
- to keep in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25) - especially with regards to God’s plans for 2026 and not our plans
Thank you for walking with us in prayer and physical support - it is making a difference in God’s kingdom.
